Surface Preparation

Cement based walls and screeds should be left to cure for at least 14 days prior to application of Ceramic Tile Fix.

Rough or uneven concrete surfaces should be made smooth to provide a wood float finish.

All substrates should be in a good and strong condition.

All substrates should also be clean and free from any loose particles, dust, oil, grease, the curing agents, or paint. Tiles to be fixed should be clean and free from any surface contamination. If the surface is dry and in hot weather, pre-wet it prior to the application of Ceramic Tile Fix without leaving excess water.

Application procedures

-The entire contents of the bag should be mixed together with water, in one container using a hand drill equipped with a mixing blade or high shear stationary mixer.

-Partial small amounts may be mixed manually, with a trowel, or other suitable hand mixing tools.

-Add 6 liters of fresh, cool, clean water in one deep container. Then, add the contents of the 20 kg bag gradually while mixing till the mixture is uniform and free of lumps. Leave the mixed material for 10 minutes and remix for one minute.

-Ceramic Tile Fix should be applied while the mortar is fresh and workable (within Pot Life).

-Apply Ceramic Tile Fix to the prepared surface using the flat side of the trowel while pressing firmly into the prepared substrate. .Use suitable notched trowel to ensure full bedding of the tile with 2 – 3 mm minimum uniform thickness.

-Spread Ceramic Tile Fix in areas not more than 1m2.

-Press tiles firmly into place and gently adjust the level by twisting slightly within 15 minutes ensuring proper transfer of 85% of the mortar to the back of the tiles.

-Leave tiles to dry for at least 24 hours before starting grouting. Use Tile Grout according to joint width.

Composition

Ceramic Tile Fix is manufactured from carefully selected strength hydraulic binders, selected well graded fillers, and special additives to enhance workability and bonding characteristics.

Standards

Ceramic Tile Fix is formulated to comply with DIN 18156 and ANSI 118.1 and EN 12004 standards.

SASO EN 12004:2021 (C2TE)

Mix Proportion

Approx. 6 liters of water/ 20 kg bag.

Coverage

3 – 5 kg/m2

(Coverage rate may vary depending on surface condition, the type of towel used).

Characteristics

-Easy to use and apply. Only requires the addition of water on site for ease of use.

- Raw materials are selected according to the highest quality control standards.

- Excellent mixing and workability characteristics.

- Exact mixing ratios and homogeneity of the blend, due to the factory fully computerized production process.

- The simplicity of usage and application gives very high productivity rates.

- Excellent bonding characteristics to plastered substrates and fair face concrete.

Important Notes

Do not apply Ceramic Tile Fix on movement joints or on dynamic cracked plastered walls. . Expansion joints should be included as per the substrate design and carried out through tile applications.

Using cold water for mixing allows longer pot life and improved workability.

Use Ceramic Tile Fix White when fixing white or light color stone.

Porous surfaces such as gypsum plaster boards should be sealed prior to tile installation using Ceramic Tile Fix. .Do not apply Ceramic Tile Fix on metal surfaces.

Use plastic spacers to leave the required joint width around each tile according to pattern and architecture recommendations.

Leave 2 mm minimum joint width around tiles.

Storage

Shelf life is 12 months from manufacturing date, in a dry, covered storage area.

Health and Safety

While using the product, gloves and goggles should be worn. Splashes to skin or eyes should be washed with clean water, in case of prolonged irritation, seek medical advice.

What you should know before buying
  • Marble is a natural product and variations in colors and veins are possible. Color coordination is the responsibility of the installer.
  • All parts must be checked before installation in terms of color and size.
  • No claim is allowed, regardless of the defect, after the goods have been installed.
  • We recommend that the buyer take an additional 7% quantity, for fear that the quantity will run out later or that new merchandise will arrive that is different in color and size.
  • It is recommended to use a good quality, clean type of glue and mortar.
How to calculate the amount of tiles required

Calculating the amount of tiles for a room must be known

1) Calculate the area of the rooms (length * width)

2) Determine the dimensions of the slab used.

3) The required quantity of ceramic tiles = the area of the room divided by the area of one tile

Taking into account an increase of 10% to 20% to avoid shortages in cutting and crushing operations.

Calculating the quantities of ceramic tiles required for bathrooms and kitchens:

The method of calculating rooms differs from calculating bathrooms and kitchens, because in this case the walls are calculated as follows:

First wall = width * height

And the second, third and fourth as well..

Then the total result of the walls is divided by the area of each tile in case the size of the wall tiles is different from the size of the floor tiles.

How to calculate the weight (cyclo):

What is the ministry, what is its importance and reasons for using it?

Floor skirting: It is a strip of tiles that controls the degree of harmony between the floors and the walls. A good choice of skirting highlights the color of the wall and the floor and adds a touch of elegance and taste. The variety of its shapes and colors gives a great opportunity to control the space of the place because it separates the floors from the walls. For example, wide skirting boards with light colors give a sense of spaciousness in narrow spaces, and dark, chunky skirting boards give a sense of warmth in wide spaces. They may have different shapes, plain, patterned, or the same as the floor tiles.

Different methods of calculating the burden:

The weight calculation depends on the size of the ceramic tile, as the height of one tile is 10 cm. For example, to calculate the weight for a 40x40 tile, it is as follows:

If the height of the skirting board is 10 cm and the tiles are 40x40, this will give us 4 pieces, each piece is about 40 cm wide, meaning that one tile will give us 160 cm, or 1.60 meters. Having calculated the total area of the place in advance, the total area of the room is divided by 1.60 meters.

Example: A room with an area of 12 square meters would be 12/1.60=7.5. Since the ceramic tiles in the tile are 40*40 (6 tiles equal 1.20), the room needs 2 square meters with a lot of ceramic tiles like this.

In the same way, we calculate if the tile is 60*60 or any other dimensions.

Some notes to take into account when calculating ceramic quantities:

Pay attention to the colors when calculating quantities. For example, there are walls that contain two different colors of ceramic, and they can also contain different tiles, called decorative tiles. The quantity is calculated based on the percentage of the color, for example, half, or one-third and two-thirds, and so on.

Also in the floors we must pay attention to the calculation process.

Choosing porcelain flooring measurements:

  • For large open halls, the preferred tile size is 120*120. To browse our selection of this size, click here.
  • Rectangular halls are preferred, 60*120. To browse our selection of this size, click here.
  • For rooms with an area of 4*5, 60*60 is preferred. Click here.
