Important steps to guide you towards choosing the best

Sometimes it gets stuck in tiles, ceramics, or porcelain.

Here are the most famous reasons identified by consulting engineer/ Qutaiba Al-Sayed

Reasons for ceramic tiles to rise on the roof:

Mention some of these reasons for ceramic tiles to settle on the roof:

1- There should be no expansion joints in the ceiling (dividing the roof into squares), as the American code indicates that they range between 6 to 8 meters in both directions. It is preferable to implement them after installing the tiles, then cutting them to a width of 2 to 3 cm, and placing sponge ropes after cleaning, then filling the joints with a material.

2- Using types of tiles or glue that are not intended for exposed areas.

Reasons for porcelain tile disintegration:

1- Installing porcelain without joints (cross)

2- Installing porcelain with a mixture instead of glue

3- Due to expansion and contraction and not making joints that allow for thermal expansion, the type of tiles and the method of installation so that the mortar is completely under the tile.

In addition to everything we have mentioned, there is another important factor , which is the issue of implementation, which also plays a role.

It is not the quality of the materials that makes the work quality, but the implementation as well.

For example, poor installation of tiles on mortar, as the quality of implementation ensures strong adhesion and avoids gaps under the tile.

Also, greater frictional forces in the future will restrict the movement of the tiles, especially since they are light.

There are some opinions from professional brothers that I would like to present as well, such as the following:

1- As a ceramic installation technician, the reason for the ceramic tiles swelling is the entry of moisture and water through cleaning into the floor. The problem is that the grout is not correct and there are still pores that are not closed and some of them are open at the joints, which led to the entry of water and moisture inside.

2- The most important thing is that there may be gypsum on the floor and it was not cleaned well before installing the ceramic tiles or using the place to make gypsum mortar or using beach sand.

3- In addition to what was mentioned in the report, using small-sized tiles is better than large-sized ones because it creates more joints that help in the expansion process.

4- Crosses are important in porcelain for expansion.

All types of porcelain are fully installed with the material or the back of the tiles are coated with the material, leaving a 2 mm gap between each tile. Work on crosses or clips is not correct.
